I had an Aunt back in the 60's who worked in a departmental store, in Colchester, off the high Road, I was hoping someone might remember the name of it, I know it does not exist anymore, I now live in Australia and it is hard trying to find out from here. Thank you.
The only department store on the high st was the multi level Coop. Called St. Nichloas House. Built on the site of the old St. Mary's church in the early sixties. My father was a brickie on the job and got into trouble for hanging skulls on the scaffold poles dug up from the graveyard during excavation. hope that helps
