Whilst visiting relatives over the Easter weekend, I came across a 'Private Eye' compilation paperback: 'Colemanballs', which consists of daft utterances by sports journalists.

One entry that caught my eye was this from TV pundit David Vine:

"We're giving you all the lengths in metres because nobody under sixteen understands feet any more. The course is one-and-a-half miles long..."

Another entry in 'Colemanballs' was this from Anna Morley, daughter of the Miss World Contest promoter Eric Morley:

"I think the Miss World contest is still a great competition although it does have a lot of knockers"
