Arab Renewal Socialist Indivisible Republic of Iraq culture
Tony,
Regarding your bulletin of May 30th @ 12.31 p.m.
"The Common Weights & Measures system of av.lb., av.oz., dry pt., fl.pt., fl.oz., and so forth, which has been part of the United Kingdom culture for more than hundreds of years, and which we share with the most successful nation on the planet, the United States, is scarcely "trivia". And I was making the point that this was only one element of native identity that was being phased out."
Tony, let's get this straightened out.
1. Common Weights & Measures are NOT part of United Kingdom culture.
2. Common Weights & Measures are NOT part of United States culture.
3. The Common Weights & Measures system is the only system used by all countries on Planet Earth, and therefore is not part of any country's culture, and never has been, with ONE exception:
4. Arab Renewal Socialist Indivisible Republic of Iraq
5. 8000 years ago the iraqi people made a free gift of the Common Weights & Measures system to all the peoples of the world.
6. Accordingly the U.K., like every other country in the world, uses the Common Weights & Measures system, BUT:
7. The U.K. does NOT have the right to claim the Common Weights & Measures system as part of "U.K. culture". There is only one nation on Planet Earth that can make that claim, and that is the Iraq nation.
8. Regarding your claim that the Common Weights & Measures system is part of the native identity of the U.K. I repeat, it is NOT part of the native identity of the U.K. Every country in the world uses the Common Weights & Measures system today, and has done so for 6000 or more years. If the system is used by every nation, then by definition, the system cannot be "native" to any nation.
9. Lastly, you say the Europist regime said they are going to ban the Common Weights & Measures system. So what. They can't ban Common Weights & Measures even if they tried, as it's the only system that Planet Earth has got. In 1997 the London regime said they had banned folks from having handguns. So what. In 2003 their loony-tune so-called "handgun ban" results in London in: no handgun ban for London, no handgun control for London, no handgun public safety for London, no handgun statistics for London, no handgun sales tax for London, no handgun common-sense for London, and a handgun mayhem & murder rate rapidly becoming the highest in the developed world. In 1034 the London regime said they had banned the sea from having tides. So what. In 2003 I went down to the beach, and you know what? The tide came in anyway.
Tony, some things you can ban, and some things you can't ban. Liars are people who say they can ban anything, including the Common Weights & Measures system. If you want more info, look at site:

P.S.
Tony,
Needless to say, I assume that you are not making your claims of "culture" on the basis that the United Kingdom of Ulster & Grand Breton, and the United States of America, are presently occupying the A.R.S.I.R. of Iraq, and therefore have the right to claim iraqi culture as "U.K. culture" & "U.S. culture". I'm sure you are not, but I just want to touch all bases on this one.

Blimey ! That almost made sense.
I say sense, but it's still complete rubbish.
Still, at least it's in English and a certain 19th Century French dictator didn't get a mention.

Still can't work out why he bothers taking up so much time writing all that when no one takes the slightest bit of notice!

I think he's trying to make some long-winded, esoteric reference to the fact that some traditional weights and measures have evolved out of ancient Bablyonian units.
Of course, I could be way off. He's very difficult to decipher.
