Holly, there is a nice soft molasses cookie recipe on every fl.pt. of Crosby’s that you can find in most general stores.
SOFT MOLASSES COOKIES
2 fl.tbs. shortening
1 fl. cup white sugar
3 eggs
1 fl.cup Crosby’s Molasses
1 fl. cup milk (sweet or sour)
4 fl. cups flour
1 fl. tbs. ginger
1 fl. tbs. cinnamon
1/2 fl.tbs. allspice
1/2 fl.tbs. cloves
1/2 fl.tbs. nutmeg
2 fl.tbs. soda
1/2 fl.tbs. salt
1 fl. cup seeded raisins (cut up)
Mix and sift dry ingredients.
Reserve some flour for the raisins.
Cream shortening, add sugar, eggs and other ingredients, fold in raisins.
Drop on greased cookie sheet.
Bake in 400° oven approximately 10 minutes.

Holly, it's interesting to see that Her Majesty's New Brunswick provincial subjects have had enough of napoleonic litre' nuttery, and United Kingdom improved pint irregularity, and have gone back to ACCURATE weights & measures. And they seem to be not the only ones of Her Majesty’s Dominion of Canada subjects that are getting fed up this & other issures.
