It's nice when people listen

I listen to a certain radio station (from the BBC) quite a lot and noted that one particular presenter didn't use Fahrenheit in the weather bullitins.

So I sent a small humorous email in saying that its nice to hear the "F" word when the weather gets warmer.

Guess what? Next time I was listening she did the weather and then mentioned me by name and gave the "F" figures!!

Ever since then she's always mentions Fahrenheit - even when it's quite cold!

Changed my opinion of the BBC being a faceless non-listening monster organisation in one afternoon, that did!

Wow, that's impressive. I wish American companies listened to their customers that much.

Believe me, I was impressed too.

All BBC personel have an email address based upon their name so all of 'em can be contacted, btw. The format is firstname.lastname@bbc.co.uk. I suppose it's part of what we pay for and shows (ahem) "the unique way the BBC is funded"
