Two nice bits of "anti-metric" reporting on TV.
On QVC -
Lady Presenter: "Lets get the QVC ruler - how shall we measure it, cm or inches"
Man presenter: "I'm a feet and inches person, none of that metric stuff for me"
Lady Presenter: "Me too"
On QI (quiz show presented by Stephen Fry).
"How much sperm does each testicle on a Blue Whale contain - you can give it to me in any measurement, fl oz, pints or gallons, whatever - oh but not metric - don't give me any metric rubbish"
BTW the answer was 7 gallons per testicle.
