Annie,

Regarding your question of October 2nd @ 11:54 p.m.

''I remember reading that 1 fl.oz. weighs 1 av.oz. of wine, but I'm not sure. Does anyone know?''

Annie, the 1 av.oz. wine for the 1 fl.oz. is 1 av.oz. spirit of wine: folks shorten it. The specific gravity of the strongest fermented wine is 0.9800, and the specific gravity of the 1 av.oz. wine for the 1 fl.oz. is 0.9600

Obviously it's distilled wine, not fermented wine. The one usually quoted is Southern Comfort whiskey.

1 fl.oz. = 1.800 cu.''
1 fl.oz. = 1 av.oz. wine
1 fl.oz. = 1 av.oz. spirit of wine
1 fl.oz. = 1 av.oz. Southern Comfort whiskey
0.9600 s.g. = Southern Comfort whiskey
1 av.oz. distilled water @ 39.2° = 1.728 cu.''
1 av.oz. olive-oil = 1.872 cu.''
1 fl.oz. = 1/2 av.oz. olive-oil + 1/2 av.oz. distilled water

I always knew that XCole was confused about a number of things, but I was not aware that he was confused about grain and grape.

Martian,

Regarding your memo of October 7 @ 8:30 p.m.

''I always knowed that xcole was confused about a # of things, but I was unawares he was confused about grains & grapes.''

Thank you Martian, for your kind comments about my confusion. I am confused about many things, but since you are now here Martian: is a peach a grain or a grape?
