Jefferson,

Regarding your question of February 11th @ 12:43 p.m.

‘’Shakespeare mentions a ken several times. Does anyone know what distance a ken is?’’

Jefferson, most folks just stick to the stt.ml.

1 stt.ml. = 5280’
1 stt. league = 5280 yd.
1 stt. ken = 5280 fth.

1 ntl.ml. = 6080’ = 1’ = 1/60º Equator = 1/60º meridian
1 ntl. league = 6080 yd. = 3’ = 1/20º Equator = 1/20º meridian
1 ntl. ken = 6080 fth. = 6’ = 1/10º Equator = 1/10º meridian

Wow... since a league is 3 miles, and a yard is 3 feet, there are the same number of yards in a league as there are feet in a mile.
Seems trivial, but I never thought of it.
