So there you go folks!
A definition of a pint in one French bar is 50cl (that's what the picture showed, a bar menu with "1 pint = 50cl" at the bottom).

ROTFL!

You don't think he mixed up "Lourdes" with "Lords" do you?

Or maybe "France" with ..erm.. "England" ?

This post is almost as funny as the "London Marathon, Greece" one by an ex-poster called euric! (I wonder if they share a surname)

Here's a new measurement: "SPM".

It's "shovels per minute".

Danny Boy - after that last post can I assume you've increased your SPM?

I could not believe the level of energy expended there over the 500 mL "pint."

Nearly equally amusing was the pro-metric US poster who asserted the US pint is 454 mL (I think he placed too much faith in the old saying "A pint's a pound the world around" -- it isn't in the US). The correct value is 473.2 mL. I hope he wasn't one of their "certified metric specialists."

I missed that one (with all the numbers flying about you can't really blame me).

I'm so glad that on-one has started that old diversion of froth size and a conspiracy that we are being told its a pint but reeeeeeally its only 500ml with a whopping great head (expressed in centimetres, of course).

I've come to dislike the word "froth" for this very reason.
