Tony, I don’t speak any frenchie lingo. I accept that you are only repeating what someone else has said, but for farm boys like me you’ve got to provide some explanation for statements like:
‘’Turkey is outside the natural boundary of Europe.’’
In frenchie lingo does the word ‘’Turkey’’ mean ‘’France’’?
Or have I got the wrong end of the stick, and it’s the phrase ‘’natural boundary’’ that’s been mistranslated?
My sixth grade teacher, Miss Crockett, is long gone, but she taught us all that Europe has a natural boundary, and the only country within that boundary is Turkey.
Too bad the interviewer of Monsignor Druon didn’t ask:
‘’Which is the natural capitol of Europe, Tallahassee or Constantinople?’’
