Cullen takes silver on track again

CITY of Edinburgh RC cycling ace Kate Cullen showed her mettle to bag a silver medal at the National Track Championships in Manchester last night.

The 28-year-old, who had finished a disappointing ninth in the scratch event on Tuesday, raised her game in last night's points race to snatch second spot.

Cullen already had her medal secured when the 30 kilometre event was halted three kilometres from the finish due to a pile-up.

After the riders resumed, she went on to complete the event and claim her fifth British silver medal behind Welsh star Nicole Cooke, the Commonwealth Games road race champion. England's Rachel Heal took bronze.

Why are you posting sports news?

Anyone can do that, choosing whichever measurement system they prefer.
