Hello again!
Here's one which I'm sure you agree is rather snazzy!

http://www.theaa.com/travelwatch/planner_main.jsp

Same as yours but tells you how to get there too!

As an example, put in "loudwater" to "park royal" - then on the next screen confirm "loudwater, bucks" to "park royal (U/Station), Gt Lon".

All in miles, needless to say!

P.S. it's my journey to work every day - not nice!!! Most of it at 20mph max!

My drive

December 13 2001, 7:39 PM

My drive to Gainesville and back is a speedy one, I usually take the 37 mile trip at 75MPH. Going to work in town (Ocala, which is where I live), I average about 45MPH.

This'll make you wonder - "victim of it's own success"

Over one hundred years ago the average speed around London, using horse drawn vehicles, was 12 mph

Today it is 11 mph.

I just found this on the FDOT website

December 15 2001, 4:10 AM

Referring to the new 2002 standards..."These files are provided only for the purpose of on screen observation and print reproduction of the files used to publish the English version of the 2002 Design Standards English Units. The 2002 Design Standards will be effective on all English jobs beginning with the July 2002 letting."
I can find no Metric/English references for 2002 stuff, its all in English only. Perhaps the metric experienment has failed. Like the main line in the movie Highlander, "In the end, there can be only one."
