Planning Permission for Notices with Metric Distances on

Easter Fact-Finding missions by ARM members have revealed a pattern of private firms and companies using more and more metric distances to their establishments. A 'Harvester' in the south-west, a garage in the Home Counties, and a number of pubs and bed-and-breakfast establishments in the south have been reported.

It is possible that Planning Auhorities are either encouraging or acquiescing in metric distances on signs by the roadside.

Does anyone have further information please?
