| - ARM (Active Resistance to Metrication) is pleased to announce the publication of three great colour postcards to raise funds for further demetrications.
The first card shows ARM’s work on Portsmouth promenade, where the Council refused to change metric signs they admitted were illegal back into English.
The second shows two ARM activists at Broxbourne station changing signs from metric to English.
The third is a glorious colour cartoon donated free to ARM by Scottish freelance cartoonist Ian Mackintosh, showing Steve Thoburn about to be executed by an E.U. executioner under the heading: ‘453.6 grams of flesh required by the Merchant of Brussels’.
Priced at 25 pence each, a set of ten will be sent anywhere in the U.K., post-free, for just £2, payable to ARM.
Send cheques to Tony Bennett, 66 Chippingfield, HARLOW, Essex CM17 0DJ. |

Can I make a suggestion?
I'm not implying that the BWMA site has few hits (quite the opposite) - but could I suggest that you post the above "advert" to as many forums as possible that have something to do with the subject (no matter how remote).
Eg, UKIP, Metric Martyrs, Metric Sucks and also those sites on the "pro-metric" side (assuming they have an ounce of democracy within them) - like the ukmetrication and pro-EU type sites. |

Thank you Vivian Linacre and the Committee of BWMA for allowing ARM table space at its AGM today, where we were able to sell nearly 400 postcards. A further £130 or so was received in donations - a great encouragement for us to continue our work.
A fourth postcard has been added. It shows the four flags of the United Kingdom (the red diagonal cross of St. Patrick in the case of Ireland), under which is the slogan: "United we stand; Divided we fall" - a warning against splitting the U.K. up into 12 E.U. Regions.
