Prominent traffic signs in metric distances along the (private) approach road to the Eden Project, near St. Austell, Cornwall, have this weeek been replaced by signs in British units after a sustained campaign by local UKIP activists, notably John Bass, County Organiser for UKIP. The County Highways Authority was reluctantly forced to write to the Eden Project telling them their signs did not conform to the law.
