Wessex Water Sewer Construction

-
Wessex Water are in the process of laying new sewers in the Avon Castle area, west of Ringwood. Their contractors have established various "compounds" to store their heavy equipment overnight and they have a large operational HQ site off the A31 at St Leonards. This site is announced with a large black-on-orange notice board reading "100 metres". I called in to the site and spoke to the individual in charge to point out that the sign is illegal - he was surprised and said he knew nothing of the Regulations. I asked him to arrange to remove, or change the metrres to yards. We shall see!
