| From the Official site:
"Talks have been taking place with Basingbourn Barracks plus two other venues with a view to securing new training facilities for the First Team. If successful, we will have available to us some superb facilities for two hours on Tuesday and Thursday of each week."
So does this mean the Chesterton School all weather pitch is dead?
Other interesting stuff, also from the same source:
"Over the past week contract talks have been taking place with a number of players whose present contracts expire at the end of this season. Negotiations have gone well and we hope to have positive news shortly"
"The Club have rented two houses in Milton Road to house our Academy players who are at present living with host families. The first house will be occupied by the first year players in April, the second house will be in use by the new intake in September.
Contributions from the players families have upto this point offset the cost to the Club of using the hosting system, those contributions remain and with renting being a cheaper option than using host families, it makes very good economic sense to go down this route"
"On Thursday the rule was run over players looking to be part of this years Academy intake. The Youth Team took on Hitchin's under 18 side losing 3-2. City fielded eight under 16 trialists from Norwich City, Ipswich Town, Peterborough United and Cambridge United" | |
