There was ever going to be one team that would appoint Tovey as Manager and it was the team with Directors completely out of their depth. With Kings Lynn Directors actually paying to see their team play they are not going to appoint Tovey when there is a whole host of other more experienced candidates. To give Tovey his due he did actually get it right towards the end of his what two and a half year reign. The team were playing really well in the last couple of months before he left a settled team with good team spirit. It was a shame it took him so long to find his best combination.
