Tovey was left with half a team as those gutless moneygrabbers we had walked out,no money as it had all been spent forcing him to bring in players who clearly weren,t good enough as was proved when he released them all at the end of the season,but he needed bodies quick to make a team as remember there was no reserves either.I don,t suppose it was to easy bringing in good players to a struggling side with no money.None of these points apply to Batch who was left with a reasably good side with some very good players and it seems quite a bit money to strenghten the side.Is it true Vowden who i personally don,t think is any better than Holden or Wignall cost 10grand,If so surely that money would have been better spent on a quality forward.I think i have made my point,that its a bit unfair to bring Toveys name up and compare the two now he,s gone (under a bit of a cloud it seems)and can,t defend himself.Lets hope for all our sakes Batch gets it right quickly.I know he hasn,t been here long but hes had plenty of support & backing from the board something our previous manager didn,t seem to get.
