Vowden has been brought in without any consideration to Steve Holdens abilities. Steve has served the club well and is no less a player than Vowden, and does make less mistakes.
As for dropping Kev to the bench when he has more talent than Leon and Roy put together leaves me thinking the managament don't know what they are doing.
Dropping Robbie, a midfeilder, for a fullback to play out of his normal position is strange. Its an insult to Robbie who has been playing well.
We need a major change up front to start scoring goals, thats why I thought Evans would be good to try out or young Jenner. No I haven't really seen them play but the reports are good. New young blood may be an answer to our poor goal scoring record. My suggestions as good as any othyers coming from the Coach.
So far I have been patient with seeing what Batch can do, but I am not impressed at the moment.
we gained 2 points when we expected 6, so once again we will finish just above relegation (hopefully)....just not good enough. |

Colin Vowden and Steve Holden are about equal in terms of ability
I`m more concerned by the fact that Jack Wignall has lost his place, he`s better than both of them.
As for the strikers, I think Rob Simpson should get a chance, at least he should be tried out against Ely in the tin-pot cup on Tuesday.
Simpson impressed when he got 20 mins or so against Hendon. We need more pace up front too. Maybe Hann ahead of Wilde for a change?
I would be disappointed if the Holden/Histon rumour turns out to be true. Histon are a nothing club and we don`t want to lose players to them. They seem to survive by taking the scraps off our table |

Like most of the City fans I thought David Batch had made good signings, but his strength coaching is his weakness. At the moment we are going backwards. I'm still not blameing David he has to be given a chance. If it goes wrong its down to Hamilton and George. |

There`s a well balanced argument from our anonymous friend
If thats the best you can do, I`d keep it shut if I were you |

Well said!!!
As a new boy so to speak what the hell is wrong with the so called supporters of this club. I know you can't please all the people all of the time, but surely the true supporters no matter how they dissagree with the management decisions should give the whole club it's support and backing. I know I do and will be at Ely Tues night in the so called tin cup. Come on all you true City Fans get behind the club and team | |
