I thought the support was good tonight the girls and other young ones do help. I also thought it was going to be our night after the start we made, but overall they were the stronger team. The defence can only hold out so long.
I hate to say this but I went to a fans forum and loved hearing how abitious we were and how we wanted to progress into the conference and even the football league. Most of our fans (not all) were looking forward to a bright future and a fans representative chaired a meeting introducing David Batch and Gutzmore the next time. We were all pulling in the same direction.
Jeremy George was doing brilliantly on the commercial side then he is promoted upstairs to be King Maker. why don't people who have a flare for a job stay in the position where they can do most for the club. His first appointment as Manager has proved a disaster. What we were told at the meeting was nonsense, complete and utter nonsense. All I want us to do is just stay in this league.
Come on you City boys.
It would appear that staying in this league is the height of this managements ambitions.Possibly quite rightly so. However,it would also seem that this time they have made an almighty error by appointing a Youth team manager in charge of the first team, and the cost could well be relegation.
A nice cosy little set up at City,Three or Four directors,Chief Exec. General Manager & Football manager without any real football experiance between them.
So,is there anybody at City strong enough to do the right thing?
City cannot afford to go down its as simple as that. With players on contracts of £300/400 a week we simply cannot afford to pay this in the Eastern Division. This is simply not the right time to be negotiating players contracts for next year, we must wait to see what league were in. The fact is we are in a similar position to Cambridge United who are unable to offer players out of contract new ones. The alternative is mounting debt which we can recoupe when we sell the ground.
Johnsons right, we need help at the top and shouldn't be afraid to ask.
How could we cock up so badly, at a time when Cambridge United were within touching distance.
.....looks a formality. Its so depressing. A message to the coaching staff. Stop the players punting the ball upfield for the forwards to flick on...ITS NOT WORKING !!!!! We did nothing after scoring the goal last night. Absolutely nothing. We made Newport look like league leaders. The winner was axiomatic.
