Please don't take this the wrong way dude, but you are in some serious need of some spelling and grammer lessons. I am not one to talk, but your posts would be ripped by a second grade English teacher. At least try capitalizing the first word of a sentence.
I think that it is way to early to label Tennessee as a national title contender. As Fulmer has stated, at this point, they are working on being a good football team, but are not even there yet. They would be extremely fortunate to only lose one game against Aub., GEORGIA, BAMA, and the Canes. Don't get me wrong, I am cheering for them and hope that they win them all, but it is not very likely. Our linebackers are the best in the east, but the secondary appears to be the same old Tennessee secondary and the linemen lack depth and experience. We were somewhat exposed against a talented offensive line and a determined qb. I think that we need to change the game plan and offensive philosophy to get the offense going again. Namely pass first to open up the running game. Once again we find ourselves in the predictable doldrums. Everybody knows what the old line coach is up to. Florida shut down the run in the first half because they knew Fulmer likes to run it up the middle so much. They simply loaded up on the middle with extra bodies. After the coaches found out that the middle was'nt yielding much (after 6 or 7 stuffs) they started to try the sweep toss. Somebody needs to pick these things up quicker and make the darn right adjustments sooner. Casey said as much early in the season, and pointed out the '01 Florida and Michigan games as assertive game plans. Michigan had one of the best defenses in the country, and we ripped them apart when they stacked the line to stop the run. Once we get the defense on their heels, then we pound the rock. That does assume that Clausen and the receivers can get on the same page. Clausen typically starts the season out fairly cold but improves from game to game. I'd say that he and the receivers should be ready by game five. Casey needs to take the sack or throw the darn ball away when he does get pressure-either that or step up and make the throw and take the subsequent hit. I've seen him throw at least two picks this season when he has someone bearing down on him. I hope that the Vols show some passion down in Jordan-Hare Sat. night. I can guarantee that the Tiger faithful will have the place rocking. I remember when a much more talented Florida team took a beating there a few years ago. I wish we could take the same defensive game plan in that USC did in their opener, but our front four is not even close to theirs. I still say we should load up on the run and put 7 - 8 players in the box, and see what the qb can do. The rivally resumes, prediction: Tennessee 24, Auburn 23.
