Miami has beaten LA Tech, Florida, East Carolina and Boston College. Florida is loaded with young talent; BC is always a decent team; LA Tech is a middle of the pack WAC team; and East Carolina is lower tier this year in CUSA. Personnel-wise, Miami is loaded and has a coaching staff that knows how to win. We will get a better idea how good they are in 2 weeks when they face FSU. There may not yet be a lot of evidence that suggest Miami is a great team (other than the comeback vs. Florida), but there is even less evidence that Miami sux.
I follow what you say regarding how championship teams often win ugly, and I agree that we need not beat Auburn and Georgia by 14 to be on a championship track. We just need to continue to win.
