after traveling a long distance, and arriving back home at 2:30 a.m., I had watched as much of that debacle that the coaches and players called a football game that I could stand, so we left mid 4th quarter. I can say in all honesty, that I have never been more disgusted and disappointed in a Vols team than I was last evening. Again and again, the "O" line missed block after block as did the defense miss tackle after tackle. It was almost like they didn't care if Ga. beat the hell out of them or not. They just threw the towel in after that terrible play right before half time. In hind sight, a field goal would have done wonders for the moral of the team and especially the Vols faithful. Even better, a 14 to 13 lead at half time would have been wonderful. remember, it was first and goal at the 3 yard line before that fumble. who in the hades is in charge of that program up there anyway, or maybe I should say, I know who ISN"T in charge of it. I listened to Fatphil's comments on the locker room interview, and the same old spill came from him. "I take all of the credit for not having the team ready". folks, that BS is not just getting old, it purely stinks. A general house cleaning needs to happen up there regardless of the remainder of the season. My question is, who is going to make it happen and when?
