| Anyone looking for a big orange letdown will be sorely disappointed this year. Critics say that the offensive line will be weak and that the qb position is muddled. However, Munoz is probably the best tackle in the league, Toenia is a monster at right tackle, and Sears could play any position on the line. Which brings me to wonder if Fulmer has the brains to put him at center. We would have one heck of a nucleus at center and both tackles, and would only need a few guards to show up. Someone who will knock their opponents in the chin strap I hope. These offensive linemen need a little more assertive leadership the big orange coach there it appears. They seem to be adopting his lackadaisial attitude lately though. And if we are going to run the ball better, how about a real blocking TE or two in a jumbo set. We didn't run the ball worth a crap in short yardage situations last year. People said how good Wells was last year, but I never saw him blow anyone off the ball on running plays. That pansy Respert really pisses me off at right guard too. Saying that our new running backs coach Trooper has his work cut out for him to improve the running game is a load of crap too. Address the real problem of no blocking and downfield blocking to create hole for the backs. It starts from the line, fullback and includes receivers, even almighty J. Banks, who should have the intelligence to make it a go at receiver. Our backs are all plenty capable.
I look forward to CJ Leak finally getting the chance to show us what he's made of (shutter at the thought of R. Clausen starting). CJ is huge, and just needs to knock the rust off, I have the feeling that the dude is a real gamer. I hope that he has the kind of season that Colquitt never got to finish. |
