Auburn's Defense speaks:

Today in the Atlanta-Urinal Constipation, an Auburn player said their defense had something "special" planned for the freshmen QBs. Well isn't that nice of them... something "special." Apparently it has something to do with disguising blitz packages or the basic defensive formations. Seems to me our freshmen QBs saw that against UNLV whose senior laden defense was constantly moving. They'd show one formation before our audible then switch to another; they'd show one blitz then come with another; they'd lay back and then send everyone. It worked so well for UNLV that they only lost by 25 points. Perhaps with the formidable Auburn defense the score will be a bit closer.

One of two things will happen this weekend, and in the long run -- either one will benefit Tennessee and its freshmen phenoms. Number 1: Either our freshmen QBs will be flustered and kept on the defensive all day and we will lose the game as a result of offensive and defensive impotence, or Number 2: our QBs will keep us in the game despite our defensive weaknesses as they have thus far and ultimately win it for us as they have the first 3 games this season. In the first case it will provide a huge learning experience for our QBs, especially post-game when they get to review and analyze the tape with our coaches. In the latter case it would provide them with the increased confidence they will need in order to beat Georgia and win the SEC EAST. Either way they will be more ready for Georgia after the experience this tough game versus Auburn will deal them.

If our defense can find a way to stop that two headed monster at RB, it will be a very long day for Auburn.

Go Vols!!!
