Looks like Spurrier is trying to deflect the attention of the "gamecocks" onto Tennessee's recent troubles. One heck of a fight there with Clemson last year- brother Steve. Classy is the only word that I can think of for ole Lou's finale there. But what else would we expect from the South Carolina brethren. Their fans were exceptionally classy in all visits to Neyland over the past years since joining the SEC (please leave the drunk grannies/screechers at home in the singlewides next time-or at least only let them stumble into the wonderful Columbia games). By the way, will Mr. Demetrius Summers be making the trip to K-Town this year? --- whoops he off the team for what?
Our players will tighten up and keep the program in a better light over the off months when the only good news is no news. I really cannot believe that that the DT (McaDaniel?) case was sent to the grand jury. This was a single punch in a basketball game. Any premeditated actions there? Hardly. Simple truth is that Tennessee football is big time, and any news sells.
Fulmer is in control of the program make no doubt about it. He is well proven in all categories. The program is clean, and he is less tolerant of any type of offender (see Ontairio Smith and others). Chavis understands Stevie down to the bone. Let's get ready for the title run. |
