Well put. I think the SEC East is still anyone's game..including our Vols this year as we all want to forget 2005 ever happened. Perhaps the biggest question mark that I think will detirmine how well UT does this year will be the play of our new starting LB's. Simon and Gaither definately left some big shoes to fill but the '06 LBs look pretty deep in talent. In the secondary I'm very pumped to see what Demitrice Morley will do if / when he lands a starting job. This guy has world class speed and appears to be a be a ball hawk in the limited time he played last year. He could be a serious weapon.
Unlike last year...I can't wait to see the offence take the field this year. Arian Foster could easily end up as a top 3 back in the SEC this year...the sky's the limit with him. The real key will be '05s biggest shortfall..the passing game. Ainge unquestionably can throw the deep ball and has as good an arm as there is out there. If he can just calm down and not force his reads he could still be what he was projected to be by not only UT but all the scouting outlets who so highly touted him out of HS. Going into the season knowing he's the man will hopefully do alot for his confidence.
Finally, if TWO receivers would step up and not drop passes in key situations that will make all the difference in the team's chances to win this thing right now. Any self-respecting Vol fan can remember at least one dropped pass from each losing game last year that could have really turned the tide in those matches. This could be an AWESOME year at Rockey Top!!!!!!!
