You won a game, woopdie doo

I'll admit that Tennessee's effort against Cal was certainly better than anything I saw from them last year. You could see how bad the players wanted to win just by watching a few highlights of them breaking tackles all over the field. It's clear that the players new they had to win this game. Of course now all you Vol fans are gonna start the celebration and say you are back. I picked Tennessee to beat Cal. I knew they had to have this game and that Pac-10 teams outside of USC cannot compete with the top 6 SEC teams. I'm gonna give you a dose of reality though, at least 3 of your touchdowns should have been stopped for five yard gains. Cal's poor tackling combined with Tennessee's sense of desperation led to the three long scores on broken tackles. Ainge obviously played better but I think you would be naive to assume that he did as well as his numbers showed. Its not difficult to throw a short five yard out to a wideout. If he breaks the tackle and gets a lot of yards, that doesn't mean the quarterback did something that any other qb in the country isn't capable of. It's clear the Vols are looking to erase any memory of last year, but when the Gators show up in two weeks, you are going to find out what a real defense looks like(One that can tackle).
