it's going to be hard to beat folk these days. i don't ever remember florida out-recruiting tennessee, -at least not as long as i've been keeping up with football. and i don't remember lsu or georgia coming even close. i'm always proud to be from tennessee and i'll wear the hick jokes with pride. my dirt poor farming family has been from tennessee since the late 1700s and i'm not ashamed of it for a minute. it's just hard to compete with these high population centers, even when they do happen to be included in the sec, i.e., lsu, georgia (the whole state), florida (same thing). Maybe if the university of tennessee were transplanted in memphis we'd have a bumper crop of talent from the mid south alone.
