a lot of those locations in n.c., s.c., va, ga, etc, where tennessee signed recruits from, are closer to the u.t. campus than memphis.
when you have a campus on the far east end of the state, bordering 5 other states, it stands to reason that a lot of those recruits are going to come from out of state.
florida on the other hand is bursting with popluation, and has few bordering states. they almost rival california in population. it's a little hypocritical for them in particular to talk about signing folk instate, when they are bursting at the seams with people who have been moving into florida constantly.
what is a native floridian anyway? you meet a few, but not many.
