I think you are right about the Gators offense in a way. It's a wait and see kind of thing. I have no doubt Tebow will be a great QB for us, but it might take some time to get used to being "the guy." I really think our offense is going to be far superior to last years and the biggest reason for that is going to be the advantage that playing Tebow all the time at QB gives us in the spread offense. Leak was a solid QB, but as everyone knows he was not a threat to run at all which eliminated a big part of the offense. Tebow is a very accomplished runner from the QB position and will put the option back into the run game. Teams will finally have to respect our QB as a threat to break a run as well. Combine that with guys like Percy Harvin, Cornelius Ingram, and Andre Caldwell at the receiver position, which are also frequently given handoffs out of the backfield, and you have a very potent set of playmakers, all of which are a legitimate running threat. Our O-line returns 4 of 5 starters and if you believe our coaches, it will be a huge strength for us this season.
Our biggest question marks are at RB, which was also one last year, and the back 7 of our defense. I really don't see RB being a big problem because we are able to compensate by using a variety of backs and receivers along with Tebow to carry the ball. The big problem for us will probably be coverage in the secondary because we will be playing so many young players at corner. If Tennessee is going to beat us, it will have nothing to do with stuffing our run, like one of you mentioned. It will have to be that Tennessee is very potent offensively themselves, taking advantage of our young secondary and breaking loose on big runs out of the backfield.
UT will simply have to outscore us in The Swamp, which I don't think will happen, but it is a possibility if Ainge is healthy because he has the experience.
