Response to One might have missed an obscure point of Packer's article.....

I must have been sleeping during all that. Anyone who would seriously think the game had passed Coach Summit by had absolutely NO basis for their argument (which would have been a good reason for my ignoring them). Again, that does not equate to the ongoing and increasing discontent over the men's football program.

There will always be people who think the cure all for any "slump" is a coaching change. They, most often, are ignored because of their obvious ignorance and inability to make or support a substantial argument. They have been attacking Fulmer since Day One. But everyone who is currently reaching a point of total frustration (as am I) over our football team's growingly consistent failures in key games have not been part of that crowd. Please stop equating the two just to try and support some point you are trying to make.

As far as Packer's article, if it was meant to address the aforementioned growing discontent with the football coaching staff, the whole thing, itself, was obscure.

My goodness, you've got people coming on here who have been Vol fans since General Neyland's days and who up to just a year or two ago would still have lent their support to Coach Fulmer and his entire staff now saying... (and I paraphrase), "Dude, enough is enough already."

There is no lack of unity in that. The last time I checked, we still pack out the house at every home game. Let's just agree to disagree maybe, but don't label all of us who want to see changes as disloyal or malcontents.

A proud member of the BOC VolEnforcement community.
