Just thought I would drop in.I wrote Sifu Lamar M. Davis about my son joining the academy,and my husband & I are talking about making it a family affair.We are from the Mississippi Gulf Coast,and we were taking Kenpo before Katrina hit.We have been relocated to Albertville,Al.
I wanted to start my son about a month ago,but the schedule that he has now will not allow him freedom on Thursday afternoon.(He is in the Math league) That should be over about mid November so I thought I would say "hi". I drop in all the time,and read the post-but this is the first time I have written a post.By the way,Sifu Davis your b-day,and mine are the same

Welcome to our forum family! Forum activity seems to fluctuate, but hopefully things will pick up again soon! I noticed that you mentioned the Thursday class. There is no Thursday class now! The other Instructor who was teaching at the Academy had to drop out to devote more time to the business that he has with his wife! At this time we are only having one class a week, which is Monday nights from 7:30 to 9:30. Please let me know if that works for you and your family, and we'll see what we can do about getting you in! By the way, my wife is in the class and wishes she had another female to train with! Thank you for the welcome.Sorry it has taken me so long to respond.I have been running,and gunning. I have some questions if you don't mind. You stated that the kids class schedule is on Mondays.How much would the classes be for my 11 yr old.? At what age are they allow to attend adult classes? As far as the adult classes-what are the schedules for training,and what are the fees? I have a few other questions but I don't want to bombard you....

Welcome to the forum. I hope that you can make it to class or maybe the seminar this weekend. I have studied other martial arts and will tell you they do not compare to JKD. Sifu Davis really instructs well and takes the time to show you or explain to you why or how a technique is done. Again welcome to the forum and I hope to meet you and your family soon.
