Hello all. My name is Ryan and I've always been interested in martial arts, especially jeet kune do, and recently received the "Tao Of Jeet Kune Do" book and am extremely interested in learning the discipline of JKD. However, I do not live in a city that has a place to study the art, nor do I have the money. But I am extremely interested and would like any pointers I can get as to how to get started in this way, or, should I say, art. I do not have any previous Martial arts experience, because, as I said, I lack finances. I am 17, And I am learning what I can martial arts wise from my mother's boyfriend, who was a black belt, second dan when he was younger. Any help in any form would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
