I got mine and it's very nice. Professional craftmanship, stylish and very cool. It's a great tool and for cheap!
It really is a nice piece of equipment and will go nicely in my academy next to my mooks and other training equipment.
If you want a piece of training equipment to tighten up your energy and sensitivity, including your flow, timing, and a lot of other applications (lin sil die dar, for example) - get it. It's totally worth it.
Similar items sell for 250.00 - so this IS a great price.
At the studio right now, just got the springarm installed. I put a makiara pad above it as well.
It works great. It has the right kind of tension and has actually "hit me back" a few times, which is pretty cool. This is definitely going to be a favorite piece of training equipment here, no doubt.
As you can see by Kent's post above, I have been experimenting with some different colors for the springarms! I will have six more ready to go by Thursday afternoon (they will be finished today, but takes 24 hours for paint/polyurethane finish to dry completely). The seminar this Saturday will be a good opportunity to see what is available and pick up the color of your choice! I should have about fifteen or so in stock and ready to sell by then!

I mounted mine by drilling the correct size hole (1 inch I believe) into the wall. I have a makiara board vertical above it (the bottom is flush with the spring).
There are several ways that you can mount the springarm. Basically, anywhere you can bore a hole the diameter of the pipe three inches deep, you are good to go. For best training, mount the arm about shoulder height. There is also a very inexpensive way to build a frame for your springarm, requiring one standard eight foot 2" x 4". You will also need a few wood screws, a saw, a drill and a drill bit for boring holes. You can bore a hole about every two or three inches on the vertical part of the frame, which will give you height adjustment choices for various drills that you may want to do. Once you have built this frame, you can mount it to any flat wall. I will try to build one in the next day or so and post it here on the forum for all to see. Once you see it you will know exactly what to do, and you can very easily build one for yourself in about ten minutes or so!
