| Hi everyone
Does anyone know of any good Wing Chun DVDs? Any DVDs would be good, but ones that show all 3 forms, striking, self defense etc. would be best.
Any help would be appreciated :)
Thanks

Hi Tom,
As you may know there are many branches in wing chun. And there is a lot of bad wing chun out there. The three forms can be picked up with most videos. Understanding them is another story. However there are a couple of videos that I have found to be pretty good. Gary Lam's videos deal with some medium level concepts and are pretty good. Emin Boztepe has a couple that are basic functional wing chun dealing mainly with the straight blast. They are more dynamic. He has a chi sao video and one called lat sao. Also there is a seminar video by him called the 5 distances, that is excellent. I would reccommend that any videos or wing chun info be studied and anylized in the light of the book Look Beyond the Pointing Finger. The Combat Philosophy of Wong Sheung Leung. He really lays out the case that wing chun is concept driven rather than technique driven. You will find much in this book that was the foundation of JKD.
Hope you can find these. Please let me know if you have any questions or find a video but are not sure whether to spend the money. I may have seen it.
