How do you know that you are getting/learning/understanding JKD?
While trying to explain what JKD is and how we train it I usually say that it is so simple and direct that it is hard. In other words we limit or hinder ourselves either physically or mentally. My biggest hurdle was learning to relax and flow. But after many, many, many hours training on my own and training with sifu Lamar I began to see myself just doing rather than having to think. This is when I began to realize that I was starting to get "IT". I started to feel if I had done something wrong or as sifu calls it body feel. I still have a long ways to go in my learning and understanding but I now know that I am on the right path.
