What has happened here? We had a lot going on, then all at once everything dropped off again! The reason this forum is here is to give all of us a place to come and discuss that which is important to us in the world of Bruce Lee's Jun Fan Gung Fu/Jeet Kune Do. It is also a great place to find out what is going on where, who is doing what and learn of any special events coming up or special offers that are going on. This is the first place that any news I have for you gets posted! I have paid extra to get rid of the ads and make this a better forum to visit, so let's put it to good use and allow the forum to go to work for us! I hope to see more visitors here soon!

Nunchaku's

Sifu,

I have seen some JKD guys on the internet incorporate nunchaku training and I wondered if this is weapon Bruce Lee introduced to his students or was it just for the movies? Also, do you know the Wing Chun Butterfly Sword form and if so, is it helpful at all for your JKD. I have discovered them to be great for developing strong wrists. Also, nice workout routine you have there! Mine is a lot shorter, but I have almost zero rest between excercises. It works for me.

No Weapons In Original Jeet Kune Do

Hi Jeff!

The only weapons related training that I know of in Jeet Kune Do is defense against weapons! As for nunchakus, Bruce Lee's use of them were restricted to movies only! Truth is, when asked about them, his reply was "They are a useless, flashy piece of ____!" (edited to meet forum rules) How about that for a direct answer? Yikes!
