Anyone here recommend Energy supplements?

I noticed in a previous post Mr. Lamar is a fan of supplements, but I am curious of which ones are the best investments for my body.

I talked to a guy from vitamin world the other day and he tried to get me to buy Royal Jelly (the bee stuff), some other kind of supplement to increase a chemical in your brain to cause you focus better (Im guessing adrenalyn?), NOX a workout formula with creatines and amino acids, and b vitamin complexes.

Now I have been a big fan of 5 hour energy however for me it takes an hour to kick in. I have tried those stacker things when they used to have ephedra but it messed me up bad.

I was curious if anyone takes any supplements and what they do for your JKD training.

Thanks.

energy

There are many options.

5 hour energy
Vitamin B6
Vitamin B12
Niacin (Vitamin B3)
Folic Acid (Vitamin B9)
Citicoline (as of October 2007)
Tyrosine
Phenylalanine - amphetamine and an appetite suppresant.
Taurine
Malic Acid
Glucuronolactone - probably an amphetamine
Caffeine - amphetamine

Essentially, b-complex with amphetamines. There's more to it than that, but those are the basics.

Probably your cheapest option is to brew your own coffee or tea. 2-3 cups(8oz each) of coffee (160-240mg caffiene) is the dosage at which you will see athletic improvement. Tea contains roughly 50mg/8oz serving. Caffiene can be a diuretic, but this effect is almost entirely eliminated if followed shortly with exercise. If you need it to stay awake at work or in the car, keep a restroom handy with larger doses. Of course, keep in mind that everyone reacts differently.

Appreciate Jack, I'm guessing the kick that I am recieving is probably due to the caffeine then, more than anything right?

ECA Stack & Other Good Supplements

April 10 2008, 12:34 PM

As you may know already, I am Head of Security for Club 1120 in Birmingham. When I am working late at the club and need a boost, I just take the old ephedrine/caffeine/aspirin stack around 1:00 A.M. and that wakes me up and keeps me alert until the end of the night! Some of the guys that work for me will drink the 5 Hour Energy drink at about midnight or 1:00 A.M. and that gets them through the night. I can't drink that, as I am allergic to the sweetener in it. On Saturdays when I teach a class/seminar after working all night at the club the night before, I will take three Redline caps and that charges me up nicely for the afternoon! A product called Jet Fuel from a company called GAT (German American Technologies) works quite well also. There are many other things out there that work well, but you just have to find what works best for YOU!

Keep Blasting!
