when you teach and when you train , do you pass a greater amount of time in the close range ? you seem to specialy like the close range but maybe its just cause a majority of the clips happen to be about chi-sao .

It looks this good in real life too!! I had his power trap demonstration already and it is all that!! Really made me think about that strategy as opposed to the speed trapping. Of oourse some speed is necessary to disrupt someones foundation like Sifu did.

Yes, trapping, when properly used, is very deadly! That is why I can't understand why so many try to leave the trapping out of Jeet Kune Do. I think that it stems primarily from either (1) they are not that skilled at trapping, (2) their sensitivity level is low, therefore they cannot properly time their traps or (3) they are just too LAZY to get in there and do the work to learn to trap and do it right! Trapping skills are of paramount importance, and I don't care what ANYONE says, trapping is highly useful and extremely combative! I am always reading where someone says that compound traps don't work, or that there is no such thing as counter-trapping. Well, if I couldn't do any better at trapping than some people, I might try to discount the importance of it myself! BUT, that is certainly NOT the case! I KNOW that trapping works! I KNOW that compound trapping is highly functional and extremely useful! I KNOW that there is a such thing as counter-trapping! How, you say?
