Hey guys
What books have you found to cover JKD the best? I have already heard many good things about the Chinatown Jeet Kune Do book, so I already know it's good and it doesn't need to be mentioned

As far As I have read

Well, I would have to say the Bruce Lee Fighting Series. Not to sound cliche, but that is straight to the source. As far as the other books I have read, Teri Tom's the Straight Lead (I liked it but good Lord she wouldn't make it as a Journalist, it was so heavily biased LOL), Joe Lewis World's greatest fighter (Good pictures alright), David Chengs JKD for Beginners (Not that good) well, and that is about it other than the TAO and John Littles extended version. I would have to say the best information I get is on this forum and youtube. Oh yeah, Lamar's DVD is off the hook. HE COVERS EVERY DETAIL (Talk about pleasing people with Obsessive Compulsive Disorder) Sifu if you are reading this, you definately need to do a new series called JKD FOR DUMMIEs, I guarantee it would be a best seller.

Well, thats my input, but I would check out if you can get some Yori Nakamura stuff. See Ya

I like "Jun Fan/Jeet Kune Do The Textbook".
I like the Larry Hartsell books but they go outside of the 'original JKD' realm if that is what you are looking for.

Jun Fan/Jeet Kune Do Scientific Streetfighting

June 24 2008, 2:26 AM

Hello!

Check out my book, Jun Fan/Jeet Kune Do Scientific Streetfighting. Is is a no-nonsense self defense book that focuses on the basics of Jeet Kune Do for street self defense! Most Barnes & Noble stores carry it, or you can order it off Amazon.com. Tim Tackett's new book, Jeet Kune Do, from Budo, is a very good book. Yori Nakamura's Jeet Kune Do books are great. Wei Feng's Jeet Kune Do books are quite interesting. The book, Jeet Kune Do: Commentaries On The Martial Way, from the Bruce Lee Library series from Tuttle is far better than the Tao of Jeet Kune Do in my opinion. Chris Kent's new revised book, The Encyclopedia of Jeet Kune Do, From A to Z, is quite good. Jeet Kune Do Conversations is excellent. Both of Jerry Poteets "Jeet Kune Do Secrets" books are good. Dave Carnell's upcoming book, Jeet Kune Do, A Core Structure Training Manual, will be excellent. I have five more books coming that are already written. They are going to be real eye openers!

Keep Blasting!
