Hello. My name is Pam, mom to Jacob (4) and Lucas & Jessica (2). I have had Lucas in the EIP program and speech therapt since March; not seeing the kind of progress I had hoped for by now & I suspect mild autism. I am going to have him tested beyond the developmental evals we have already had; the twins 2 year appt is in 2 weeks and I want to be armed w/ all the info I can before I talk to his dr.
I guess my main question is, how can I find out, if I can, if his vaccinations have lead to delyed speech/behavior?
I was a HS English teacher before I became a SAHM w/ a master's degree in Education; so I truly feel I have a pragamatic approach to all of this & it's not overly sensitive mothering that is leading me here - have any of you experienced that thought? That other people think you're being 'overly' motherly when it comes to your disabled child??
