My son is currently using the Buttar protocol for chelation. He is on TD-DMPS and other supplements. He is doing really well. He is in second grade and fully integrated in the large class. He is making friends and extremely verbal. He still has some learning disabilities, but I believe after a full year or two of chelation--he will not have them anymore.
I check my son's ph level every day. I also alternate cooking with garlic, oregano, and onions (all anti-yeast). I also select juices with grapeseed extract and cranberry. I believe this, in addition to all the wonderful supplements he's on from Buttar, really help him.
My son is 8; I wish we'd found this protocol years ago. Diet only got him so far; he needed to get the metals out before he could truly heal. I am following in his footsteps. I am taking metal magnet (by enzymatic therapies) which is fulvic acid, checking my ph and getting my fillings removed. I'm also about to be treated for lyme's disease.
I think slow is better for chelation. They didn't get there over night; it's not fair to ask a body to push them out all at once (with IV). I would never do that to myself or my child.
