I found this just in time to view the show....(long sigh) now I think I need to let NBC know about

Hi, this is my 3rd email now. I'm the mother of a child with autism.

The first email was after that horrible ER-vaccine/measles/deadchild episode. Just to let you know how I felt about it.

Then I wrote you to let you know that I have to boycott NBC and some of my favorite programming, but suggested that you take notes from the example that ABC is setting with their wonderful piece on autism and ABA therapy. (It was very accurate, unlike the skewed figures given in the vaccinate or die ER episode) This aired on "Nightline". Which I'm currently substituting for "Dateline" sigh.

I thought you might also want to know that TLC (discovery channel) aired a piece on savants with autism called "Uncommon Genius". Another wonderful example of journalistic integrity that your writers from ER can benefit from. In this program they had Dr. Rimland from the Autism Research Institute. He said that they explored the vaccine and anti-biotic/autism relationship in the 60's. He also said that not all autism has this relationship, but the big boom in autism of today was definitely connected with the vaccine and anti-biotic connection. (he said it "matter of fact-ly")

Anyway, just thought you might want to be kept "up to speed" with what is going on in the world. Suggestion: maybe you can recruit college interns to work on accuracy for some of that research that your writers from ER seem to find so tedious. Have a great day!

Former NBC viewer, now boycotting until I'm satisfied that NBC gains crediblity, accuracy, and political correctness,

Shirley
