I find dozens of dead ones on the floor constantly, i keep hoovering them up or squashing them but more are there each day. please help!!! ive asked everyone i know and cant find out what they are. I had them here exactly this time last year!! what do i do?? (im in London)

It sounds like some kind of nocturnal beetle, but without a sample a REAL I.D would be hard! Perhaps Hugh Radford could help you with that if you sent him a sample(along with a proper fee to cover his costs), or if he is close enough he could handle it for you!
But also I think EXclusion is the one thing you need to look at, and by that I mean keep your doors and windows closed at night, otherwise those little cute bugs (that are harmless) will invade your beautiful home! No amount of spraying will keep them out!
Talk with Mr. Hugh about all this as he is the PRO in your area, and a fine man as well....I should know, I'm his friend!

Thank you for your message, but today I have finally found out what they are. I took some in a sealed container to the councils pest control, and they told me they were BISCUIT BEETLES! (American name drugstore beetles) Ive never heard of them until today. They are coming from my attic, as birds nests there 2-3 times a year, and they have left me some nice bugs. House is infested, so im getting the landlord to get in the professionals. thank you again.

really glad I could help but I didnt really do enough! Im very sorry!
But I can tell ya , anytime I can be of help to a real true friend let me know!
And miss I am sure glad you are going to get them taken care of.....they can be a real pest! But dont forget to also ask your local professional about not only pest control for those beetles, but also exclusion tactics as well, If you can get someone to take preventative steps toward blocking off all entrances to your attic you will be right as rain in no time flat!
Hugh, you be as good as I know you can, see ya buddy!

I have small bugs in my front room. They seem to be coming from my fire place. I have had the chimney pot covered with a cowe. The bugs sound very similar to the bugs that you had. Small about the size of an ant and they can fly.
How did you get rid of them
