Well, sometimes an 'incident' is as thoroughly figured out as it could be yet people still use it as some proof that UFOs have been here and have crashed.
A good case is Roswell.
I mean, even the people that believe the thing was a thing from outer space admit that the 'pieces' of the ship were as thin as aluminum foil.
How, exactly, does an aluminum foil ship travel light years and not get punctured?

"And the debris found was aluminum foil, scotch tape and basil
wood. So either star ships are made out of really cheap material or in
fact, that's all it was, was these modified weather balloons..."
Come on. Roswell was a balloon. The government said it was a balloon, all the clues aim to the fact it was a balloon, if it quacks like a quack...
I mean, even those who are saying it was pieces of a spaceship call it aluminum foil. They just say it has super powers such as being unable to be creased, and You couldn't rip it (shades of a super blanket, Batman).
I mean, it still comes down to, what kind of spaceship is made from aluminum foil and basil wood?
And, the Phoenix flares is a good example of one which was figured out, period. Yet, I still see those photos on many UFO sites as if that one is one of the ones which proves the UFO being here theories.
