Response to Similar situation ...

Back when I was about 16 years old I used to go up to the highway bridge where we'd watch the cars pass at night.

We were laying on the grass along the bank and Peter pointed up to the sky, "What's that?"

I could see nothing but stars.

"It's right there. See it? It's moving to the right."

I still saw nothing but stars.

"Now, it's moving to the left really fast," he was getting excited.

I saw nothing but stars.

"Put your thumb up." I said to him.

"What?"

"Put your thumb up in the sky to act as a reference point."

He did.

"Is it moving relative to your thumb?"

"No, it's stopped now."

"Take your thumb away." He took his thumb away.

"It's moving to the right again." He says.

It was obvious that every time he had no reference point to compare with, his eye movement would fool him into thinking a star was moving. When one stares at a bright star for even a quite short period of time, all other stars blot out in the mind, leaving only that one bright star. When that occurs, the star will start zipping around as the eye moves around.

That's oftentimes the action described of UFO activity.

People forget that 'UFO' stands for 'Unidentified Flying Object'. All it means is, "I dont know what that is yet?"

...

Another time I watched this excessively bright light hover in the sky. I was on a mountaintop. The light scintillated and shimmered with many different colors. It kept its position in the sky for many minutes. It was so super-bright I was amazed.

As time went along, slowly it started to move to my right. Finally I could see that it was a jet which had been aiming straight towards me for quite a while before it turned to the left to head to the runway. It's wierd how bright a plane's landing light can be when it's glaring directly into your eyes.
