Response to But seriously, folks,...

...do you think the College of Cardinals picked the right guy to lead a major religion under seige?

According to Catholic teaching it’s the God who picks the pope and through the Holy Ghost makes Cardinals do Gods will.

You ask if he is the right guy. I think he is perfect! I wished and wished and wished… … … that Paparatzi becomes the new pope from the bottom of my heart just like I wished that four and a half years ago Gore loses the election in Florida showdown. In both cases of key importance to our survival and freedom my wishes became reality

An audience member at last Saturday's PhACT lecture said it best, paraphrasing: "What really worries me is religious fundamentalists!", and with what's going on in Iraq et al, I couldn't agree with him more! And you guys think creationists are a major threat?

In ten thousand years from now when people look back at ancient history, who will they remember more, Jesus, Hitler, Buddha, Gandhi or President Bush? It will be president Bush because without him there would be no revolution of fairytale book proportion. The same goes for Paparatzi, he as well as president Bush has the potential to become historically unforgettable.

President Bush will be remembered as the man who created condition under which neo-liberalism collapsed and Paparatzi might be remembered as the one that was responsible for collapse of Christianity.

It’s simple Dave, cause and effect
