Response to Catholics aren't ...

 

bamboozled by such things but offhand I can not think of others being taken in by that type of miracle.

It seems to me that much of the miracle scams of Dennis Lee is directed toward Protestant groups but I am sure he would accept money from anyone. Lee's miracles do seem a bit more sophisticated than weeping Madonnas. Faith healing also seems to be bigger among Protestants, at least as I see it being pitched by TV evangelists and in my own experience. I did go to St. Anne's in Quebec which does seem to deal heavily in faith healing, the church walls being adorned with crutches, unneeded because of magical cures.

It bugs me to see people victimized by such activities. I can think of few remedies other than education that stresses Critical Thinking.
